Ibuprofen

There are different types of anti-inflammatory medication available in the market. The most common ones include NSAIDs, which are also known as Non-steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs. These medications are found to be more effective and safe than many conventional painkillers which are more commonly used by people. It is an analgesic that is known to help heal and reduce the inflammation. They are commonly used to relieve the pain caused by osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, migraines, backaches, arthritis, sports injuries, sprains, stress and other injury.

Ibuprofen is among the most popular ones, which are being taken by people. Most common types of Ibuprofen are those containing ibuprofen sodium and ibuprofen pentahydrate. These types are the most widely used. Another type is naproxen sodium, which is usually taken for indigestion and gastro-intestinal disorders. Amiodarone is another commonly used painkiller that is also a drug that is used for treating different forms of inflammation. Fluticasone and Tylenol are the other two most common forms of anti-inflammatory drugs.

Ibuprofen and naproxen can cause stomach ulcers and are therefore not recommended for children. For adults, they are effective in reducing the swelling of the joints. Tylenol is effective in reducing the pain. Most anti-inflammatory drugs have adverse side effects, so the patient should avoid taking them in large doses and also take them in the prescribed time intervals.
