Sonoma barn wedding at Willow Farm

Bridesmaids and dog

This magical styled shoot comes from some talented ladies who call themselves Madison Soirees. I love there laid back attitude and can honestly say they have become friends after these shoots. Bellow is a Alice talking a little bit about her inspiration of the day.

“We love the approachability of farm settings, it’s always inviting, warm, and relaxing. Willow Farm exemplified this aspect of warmth and laid back feel, which made it the perfect backdrop for our shoot.

Our photo shoot is inspired by the bride that is fashionable and modern while at the same time is also romantic and laid back. The color inspiration comes from a Leslie Danzis necklace (which was worn by the bridesmaid in the shoot), with colors of navy, peach, coral, gold, and silver. We love the formality of navy and we love the romantic feel of varying shades of pink; these two tones were a natural pairing for Willow Farm.

We also love modern details such as Philippe Starck Louis Ghost Chairs, CB2 candlesticks, and sequined table runners. These modern details, along with a non-traditional Alice and Olivia metallic gown for the bride as well as a pink peplum Alice and Olivia dress for the bridesmaid, provide the unexpected fashion twist for the shoot.

To tie fashion and farm together, we infused the shoot with updated takes on traditional romantic details such as: swan cake toppers from BHLDN, hand lettering from Whimsyletters with flower place card holders, quatrefoil motifs in the chair pillows and dinnerware, and the Kate Middleton inspired engagement ring (which happens to be in the perfect shade of navy blue).

The result was a beautiful balance of farm, fashion, and fun which we hope inspires brides out there to look beyond the traditional rustic approach of utilizing a farm venue.”

I just love shooting city hall weddings! They are more than just a fancy way to elope these days. They are a no fuss, chic and modern way to celebrate your love.

I could spend hours talking about the amazing couples I’ve met at city hall over the years, but I won’t. Instead, I thought I’d share what I’ve learned about city hall weddings over the years.

For others who might want to take a non-traditional approach, city hall weddings are quite open-minded and flexible.
